** REGISTRATION BEGINS ** ** MONDAY, OCTOBER 15th  @  9:00am **  (non-residents may begin registering 10/16/18) Framingham's Winter Swim Team is a recreational swim team that competes in the Suburban Swim League.  Practices and home swim meets are held at Keefe Tech School located at 750 Winter Street, Framingham.  Focus is on good sportsmanship, improvement, and having fun!  Open to swimmers ages 6-18 years.  All new swimmers to the Winter Swim Team MUST be evaluated.Please find IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS in the "ADDITIONAL FORMS AND FILES" section below.It is your responsibility to PRINT OUT THESE DOCUMENTS WHEN REGISTERING.  The Behavior Policy, initial practice times, team meetings, team apparel sizing, and evaluation information is included!!! BEGINNERThis class is for those who have not played before, or are just getting started. A player will learn all the basics of the game including: strokes, scoring, footwork, and tennis etiquette. Classes will include live ball hitting with other classmates, and personal stroke instruction.ADVANCED BEGINNER Build on skills taught in Beginner Tennis and learn how to comfortably play a game of tennis. The intermediate level will teach you how to rally with more consistent depth and placement. A great workout that will help you fine tune your strokes and improve your match play.

** REGISTRATION BEGINS ** ** MONDAY, OCTOBER 15th  @  9:00am **  (non-residents may begin registering 10/16/18) Framingham's Winter Swim Team is a recreational swim team that competes in the Suburban Swim League.  Practices and home swim meets are held at Keefe Tech School located at 750 Winter Street, Framingham.  Focus is on good sportsmanship, improvement, and having fun!  Open to swimmers ages 6-18 years.  All new swimmers to the Winter Swim Team MUST be evaluated.Please find IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS in the "ADDITIONAL FORMS AND FILES" section below.It is your responsibility to PRINT OUT THESE DOCUMENTS WHEN REGISTERING.  The Behavior Policy, initial practice times, team meetings, team apparel sizing, and evaluation information is included!!! New skills include flip turns, alternating kicks for treading water, tuck and pike surface dives, throwing rescues, and turning a spinal injured victim face-up. LEVEL 7 - ADVANCED SKILLS This course will emphasize whole stroke skills in order to swim more efficiently, with more ease, relaxation, smoothness, and for greater distance. * REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, February 11th at 9:00am *CLASSES will run  SATURDAYS, March 2 - April 6, 2019 Classes held Saturdays from 12:30pm - 3:30 pm at Keefe Tech Pool, 750 Winter Street, Framingham.  Students must attend ALL CLASSES. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be Red Cross Certified in Lifeguarding, CPR & First Aid. Please bring swimsuit, towel, notebook, and pencil to each class. Absolutely NO SHOES are allowed on the pool deck. Flip Flops are welcome. All persons not participating in lessons must stay in the bleachers. The Board of Health requires all swimmers to shower before entering the pool area. After showering in the locker room, students should return to the bleachers and wait for role-call and class to begin. Any cancelled lesson, due to inclement weather, will be made up at the end of the  session. Please call 508-532-5962 or visit www.framinghamparks.com for any possible cancellations. LIFEGUARDINGProvides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until EMS personnel take over.    Prerequisites:     - Swim 300 yards continuously     - Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs     - complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds:            start in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the start point, exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

This course will provide an introduction to the aquatic environment. Skills taught include: supported floated and kicking on front and back, alternating arm action and water safety.Bubbles are NOT used at this level.  Students will be supported by their instructors and kickboards.

BEGINNERThis class is for those who have not played before, or are just getting started. A player will learn all the basics of the game including: strokes, scoring, footwork, and tennis etiquette. Classes will include live ball hitting with other classmates, and personal stroke instruction.ADVANCED BEGINNER Build on skills taught in Beginner Tennis and learn how to comfortably play a game of tennis. The intermediate level will teach you how to rally with more consistent depth and placement. A great workout that will help you fine tune your strokes and improve your match play.

** REGISTRATION BEGINS ** ** MONDAY, OCTOBER 15th  @  9:00am **  (non-residents may begin registering 10/16/18) Framingham's Winter Swim Team is a recreational swim team that competes in the Suburban Swim League.  Practices and home swim meets are held at Keefe Tech School located at 750 Winter Street, Framingham.  Focus is on good sportsmanship, improvement, and having fun!  Open to swimmers ages 6-18 years.  All new swimmers to the Winter Swim Team MUST be evaluated.Please find IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS in the "ADDITIONAL FORMS AND FILES" section below.It is your responsibility to PRINT OUT THESE DOCUMENTS WHEN REGISTERING.  The Behavior Policy, initial practice times, team meetings, team apparel sizing, and evaluation information is included!!! 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM    Lifeguard Training - Lifeguard Training, Winter 2019
* REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, February 11th at 9:00am *CLASSES will run  SATURDAYS, March 2 - April 6, 2019 Classes held Saturdays from 12:30pm - 3:30 pm at Keefe Tech Pool, 750 Winter Street, Framingham.  Students must attend ALL CLASSES. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be Red Cross Certified in Lifeguarding, CPR & First Aid. Please bring swimsuit, towel, notebook, and pencil to each class. Absolutely NO SHOES are allowed on the pool deck. Flip Flops are welcome. All persons not participating in lessons must stay in the bleachers. The Board of Health requires all swimmers to shower before entering the pool area. After showering in the locker room, students should return to the bleachers and wait for role-call and class to begin. Any cancelled lesson, due to inclement weather, will be made up at the end of the  session. Please call 508-532-5962 or visit www.framinghamparks.com for any possible cancellations. LIFEGUARDINGProvides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until EMS personnel take over.    Prerequisites:     - Swim 300 yards continuously     - Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs     - complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds:            start in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the start point, exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

This course will provide an introduction to the aquatic environment. Skills taught include: supported floated and kicking on front and back, alternating arm action and water safety.Bubbles are NOT used at this level.  Students will be supported by their instructors and kickboards.

BEGINNERThis class is for those who have not played before, or are just getting started. A player will learn all the basics of the game including: strokes, scoring, footwork, and tennis etiquette. Classes will include live ball hitting with other classmates, and personal stroke instruction.ADVANCED BEGINNER Build on skills taught in Beginner Tennis and learn how to comfortably play a game of tennis. The intermediate level will teach you how to rally with more consistent depth and placement. A great workout that will help you fine tune your strokes and improve your match play.

This adaptive skating program provides children, ages 5 - 22 years, with special needs the opportunity to participate in sports and active recreation in a fun and safe environment.  This program promotes the learning of new skills, social opportunities and moderate to vigorous physical activity to maintain and improve health and fitness.  We utilize equipment such as skate walkers and sleds.  Helmets are mandatory (not provided). Rental skates are available at the rink at no charge for participants. ** REGISTRATION BEGINS ** ** MONDAY, OCTOBER 15th  @  9:00am **  (non-residents may begin registering 10/16/18) Framingham's Winter Swim Team is a recreational swim team that competes in the Suburban Swim League.  Practices and home swim meets are held at Keefe Tech School located at 750 Winter Street, Framingham.  Focus is on good sportsmanship, improvement, and having fun!  Open to swimmers ages 6-18 years.  All new swimmers to the Winter Swim Team MUST be evaluated.Please find IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS in the "ADDITIONAL FORMS AND FILES" section below.It is your responsibility to PRINT OUT THESE DOCUMENTS WHEN REGISTERING.  The Behavior Policy, initial practice times, team meetings, team apparel sizing, and evaluation information is included!!! New skills include flip turns, alternating kicks for treading water, tuck and pike surface dives, throwing rescues, and turning a spinal injured victim face-up. LEVEL 7 - ADVANCED SKILLS This course will emphasize whole stroke skills in order to swim more efficiently, with more ease, relaxation, smoothness, and for greater distance. * REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, February 11th at 9:00am *CLASSES will run  SATURDAYS, March 2 - April 6, 2019 Classes held Saturdays from 12:30pm - 3:30 pm at Keefe Tech Pool, 750 Winter Street, Framingham.  Students must attend ALL CLASSES. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be Red Cross Certified in Lifeguarding, CPR & First Aid. Please bring swimsuit, towel, notebook, and pencil to each class. Absolutely NO SHOES are allowed on the pool deck. Flip Flops are welcome. All persons not participating in lessons must stay in the bleachers. The Board of Health requires all swimmers to shower before entering the pool area. After showering in the locker room, students should return to the bleachers and wait for role-call and class to begin. LIFEGUARDINGProvides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until EMS personnel take over.    Prerequisites:     - Swim 300 yards continuously     - Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs     - complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds:            start in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the start point, exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
