Framingham Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Special Olympics, provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, prepare for entry into school and community programs, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.


This opportunity will help your athlete build a sense of community, make lifelong friends, and promote healthy activities in a fun, friendly, and competitive environment.

The Metrowest Flyers Track program is designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities aged 8 and up.  Athletes will train athletes in traditional Track & Field events with the opportunity to attend a Regional Meet.

- When creating your account, please inform us of any special accommodations your athlete requires.  This information is only used by the administration to ensure your athlete receives the proper assistance while in this class. 

- In addition to registering on this site - Please print and complete the "Athlete Application for Participation" and the "COVID-19 Participant Code of Conduct & Risk Assessment Form".  These forms will be submitted at the first practice.  You can find a link to these documents below. 

*Please Note * these documents are only valid with ALL signatures completed, must be signed by a licensed medical examiner and is valid for three (3) years.
