Framingham's own Special Olympics Program, the MetroWest Flyers, will be fielding a Bocce Team in Summer 2019!

The Special Olympics provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, prepare for entry into school and community programs, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

The MetroWest Flyers Bocce Team is designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities aged 8 and up.  This opportunity will help your athlete build a sense of community, make lifelong friends, and promote healthy activities in a fun, friendly, and competitive environment.

This program will also offer the opportunity for Athletes to compete for, and be entered in, the State Qualifying Tournament in Canton, MA on Saturday, July 27  (more details to follow).  There will also be a season ending State Tournament, for al athletes, in Marlborough, MA on August 24 & 25!

*If you would like to be a Volunteer for this program, please register yourself under the "Volunteer Opportunities" program on our Programs & Memberships home page.
